Product Description
Product Introduction
The UHB‑ZK corrosion‑ and wear‑resistant mortar pump is a cantilevered, single‑stage, single‑suction centrifugal pump specially designed for conveying corrosive media containing fine particles. This mortar pump is constructed from steel‑lined ultra‑high‑molecular‑weight polyethylene (UHMW‑PE), a next‑generation engineering plastic renowned for its exceptional corrosion and wear resistance. Its outstanding advantages include superior wear resistance, excellent impact resistance—particularly at low temperatures—outstanding creep resistance (resistance to environmental stress cracking), and superb chemical resistance.
Product Features
The UHB‑ZK series corrosion‑ and wear‑resistant pump is designed to handle a wide range of operating conditions, including the conveyance of acidic or alkaline clear liquids or slurries; various corrosive mineral slurries in the metallurgical industry; dilute acids in the sulfuric acid industry; and diverse types of wastewater in the environmental protection sector. This pump offers both excellent corrosion resistance and outstanding wear resistance, making it suitable for an extremely broad array of applications. It features the following characteristics:
1) Exceptional wear resistance: All wetted components are manufactured from steel-lined ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE). UHMW-PE boasts the highest wear resistance among plastics, outperforming nylon 66 (PA66) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) by a factor of four, and exhibiting 7 to 10 times the wear resistance of carbon steel and stainless steel.
2) Outstanding impact resistance: Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene boasts the highest impact strength among general-purpose engineering plastics—five times that of acrylonitrile–butadiene–styrene (ABS)—and retains its stability even at −196°C, a property unmatched by any other plastic.
3) Excellent corrosion resistance: This pump exhibits resistance to a wide range of corrosive media (acids, alkalis, salts) and organic solvents across various temperature and concentration ranges. After being immersed for 30 days in 80 different organic solvents at 20°C and 90°C, no abnormal surface phenomena were observed, and its other physical properties remained virtually unchanged.
4) Noise-free: Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene boasts the highest impact energy absorption among plastics, coupled with excellent sound-damping properties, thereby minimizing noise generated by fluid flow during conveyance to the greatest extent.
5) Safe and reliable, with no toxic degradation: The pump is made of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE), which exhibits exceptionally stable chemical properties, making it suitable for use in the food industry.
6) Low coefficient of friction: The pump’s internal coefficient of friction is only 0.07–0.11, giving it self-lubricating properties. Under water‑lubricated conditions, its dynamic coefficient of friction is half that of PA66 and polyoxymethylene (POM). When operating in sliding or rotating modes, its lubricity even surpasses that of steel and brass when lubricated with oil.
7) Excellent anti-adhesion properties: Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) exhibits outstanding anti-adhesion performance, with adhesion resistance comparable to that of PTFE; consequently, it delivers exceptional results even when conveying media with relatively high viscosity.
Performance Overview
1) Corrosion- and wear-resistant, versatile for multiple applications, suitable for both acidic and alkaline clear liquids and slurries.
2) The pump body features a steel-lined structure made of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene, with a lining thickness of 8–20 mm. This pump employs plastic‑lining technology and, compared with other pumps of the same type, offers superior resistance to thermal deformation, crack resistance, prevention of liner delamination, and a higher maximum operating temperature.
3) Impellers are available in both open and closed types, allowing you to select the appropriate design based on the characteristics of the process fluid.
4) Seals: K-type mechanical seal, K1-type mechanical seal, T-type packing seal, T1-type packing seal, C3-type non-standard seal.
5) Applicable media: sulfuric acid at concentrations below 80%, nitric acid at concentrations below 50%, hydrochloric acid of various concentrations, and liquid caustic soda; suitable for both clear liquids and slurry.
Main Technical Parameters
Operating temperature: −20°C to 90°C (with modified materials, can be extended beyond 100°C); inlet diameter: 32 mm to 350 mm; flow rate: 5 to 2,600 m³/h; head: up to 80 m.
